
Martinsburg College proudly introduces a scholarship program designed specifically for military spouses. This scholarship is available to all military spouses that complete one of our allied health certificate programs and meet established requirements.
Many of our students use the wonderful benefit provided by MyCAA to complete a high quality, relevant, in-demand allied health certificate with Martinsburg College. We know that many of our students would like to continue their education and pursue an associates degree in health care administration. In order to meet this need we have developed the Martinsburg College Spouse Scholarship.

These roles can range from a variety of positions, but all contribute to the overall health and well-being of the patient and support for the medical staff. The Office of Homeland Security was created eleven days after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States. The office was created with the purpose and responsibility to oversee and coordinate a comprehensive national strategy to protect the United States against terrorism and respond to any future attacks. The Department of Homeland Security became operational on January 24, 2003 approximately sixty days after the Homeland Security Act was passed. The Department of Homeland Security combined twenty-two different federal departments and agencies into one unified agency. Since its creation, the Department of Homeland Security’s scope has expanded to include Cyber security issues, natural disasters, and border security, in addition to protecting the United States against external or internal terrorist attacks.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION:
• Open to all military spouses who started an allied health certificate program at Martinsburg College on or after January 1, 2015
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Completed certificate program within nine months of start date
• No other funding options available
**An administrative fee of $250 will be charged for each 12 month enrollment period.**

What Is MyCAA? |
The My Career Advancement Account Scholarship is a workforce development program that provides up to $4,000 of tuition assistance to eligible military spouses. The scholarship assists military spouses in pursuing licenses, certificates, certifications or associate degrees necessary to gain employment in high-demand, high-growth portable career fields and occupations. Spouses may use their My Career Advancement Account Scholarship funds at any academic institution approved for participation in the scholarship.
